My Term 3 goals

Reading: This term I learnt a lot of things about the author Des Hunt because he came to our school and he told us some things about what he had done other than writing books. My reading goal for Term 3 is to read more clearly with expression when i’m reading to someone.   To achieve my goal I will need to practice reading more clearly with expression by reading to someone at home for at least 20 minutes

Writing: This term I learnt how to hook people into my stories. My writing goal for Term 3 is to link my sentences together. To achieve my goal I will need to work on my writing structure.

Maths: This term I learnt about percentages. My maths goal for Term 3 is to get better at my percentages. To achieve my goal I will need to practice my percentages daily.

Personal: This term I need to talk more when I’m in class. My personal goal for Term 3 is to finish off more work.   To achieve my goal I will need to work more faster.

These are my goals for Term 3. I have improved in a lot of subjects.

2. Jake collected $75 from his pocket money to buy a present for his mum. The present only costs $39 so how much change does he have?

39 + 1 = 40

40 + 30 = 70

70 + 5 = 75

39 + 46 = 75 so 75 - 39 = 46

3. Dad takes $93 with him to the fair. He comes back with $57. How much did he spend?

     57 + 3 = 80

            80 + 10 = 90

           90 + 3 = 93

             57 + 46 = 93 so 93 - 57 = 46

4. At the park the lolly seller has collected in $103.

  She has to pay $88 out for buying lollies for the next   day. How much money does she have left

88 + 2 = 90

            90 + 10 = 100

             100 + 3 = 103

    88 + 25 = 103 so 103 - 88 = 25

5. Sam has $110 and spends $89 on some PlayStation games he wanted. How much money does he have left?  
   89 + 1 = 90    90 + 10 =100

            100 + 10 =110

89 + 21 = 110 so 89 - 110 = 21

6. I start shopping with $64 and come home with $38. How much did I spend when I was out shopping?

38 + 2 = 40

           40 + 20 = 60

           60 + 4 = 64

38 + 36 = 64 so 64 - 38 = 36

7. I wanted to collect $100 for charity, but only managed to get $82. How much less than $100 is that?

               82 + 8 = 90

        90 + 10 = 100

             100 + 0 = 100

82 + 22 = 100 so 100 - 82 = 22

Good morning teachers and student’s today I will be talking about the importance of soccer.

Imagine One day you’re out playing soccer with your brother and you accidentally kick the ball into a dogs face because you were too busy thinking about how much you wanted to play soccer professionally.

Would you like to play soccer for a club? Because I know that I would.

Soccer is the fastest growing and the most popular sport in the world,  one of the many reasons why I think young children should join a sport like soccer is so you can feel like you’re a part of a team. I would really like to play soccer for a club because soccer is my favourite sport and playing for a club would put my skills to the test.

Soccer is a really fun sport to play that's why it is my favourite sport. When you play soccer you have to work as a team to win and you can’t argue with the other team or because if you do you might get disqualified.  

All kinds of people can play, at all different kinds of levels

Children always waste their time playing soccer rather than doing house chores or homework. Sometimes they like to leave it for last.

Soccer is the most popular sport in the world and is an ideal sport for fitness, health, strength and endurance. Soccer, or football as it's also called, is ideal for players of all ages.

Could you be able to cope in a world where you aren't able to play sports, especially if that sport was soccer.

I think soccer is an importance sport because it can help you get fit and healthy and it gives you something to do when you are bored and have nothing to do.
